The Virginia Marine Resources Commission invites public comment on the establishment of the regulation, as proposed below. By July 8, 2019, the proposed draft regulation may be viewed at the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, 380 Fenwick Road, Bldg. 96, Fort Monroe, Virginia.
In accordance with Section 28.2-103 and 28.2-209 of the Code of Virginia, a public hearing on the proposed amendment to this regulation will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, 380 Fenwick Road, Bldg. 96, Fort Monroe, Virginia. Public comments on the proposed regulation should be provided to Ellen Bolen, Deputy Commissioner, 380 Fenwick Road, Bldg. 96, Fort Monroe, Virginia 23651, by 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2019.
I. CHAPTER 4 VAC 20-1350-10 ET SEQ., “PERTAINING TO GENERAL OYSTER PLANTING GROUND LEASE RENEWAL FEE”
The Commission proposes to adopt Chapter 4 VAC 20-1350-10 et seq., “Pertaining to General Oyster Planting Ground Lease Renewal Fee”
The purpose of this regulation is to establish the application procedures and fee for the renewal of general oyster planting ground leases and time limits to request a formal hearing concerning any denial renewal.
